Detailed itinerary
Day 1: VIETNAM – URUMQI (Lunch & Dinner on Plane)
06:00: The tour guide will pick up the group at the meeting point in the city to depart for Urumqi – the capital of Xinjiang. The group will transit in Guangzhou and then fly to Urumqi.
Upon arrival in Urumqi, the local guide and vehicle will transfer the group to a central hotel, overnight in Urumqi. Urumqi at night is extremely lively with numerous barbecue stalls and spicy street food.
Day 2: URUMQI TOUR (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast at the hotel, the first destination to explore this special land is the Xinjiang Museum, where visitors can get an overview of the culture, politics, religion, and architecture of Xinjiang. The museum, built in 1953, features Uyghur ethnic interior decoration and has an exhibition space of about 7,800 square meters. It houses over 50,000 cultural artifacts, including ancient mummies known as the "Beauty of Loulan," which are 4000 years old with red-brown skin, thick eyelashes, large enchanting eyes, and long hair, as well as manuscripts in Chinese, Kharosthi, Qiuci, Yanji, Tibetan, Uyghur, and other cultural relics from Western China. The group will have lunch and enjoy local culinary flavors.
In the afternoon, visit the Erdaoqiao Bazaar and the international trade market: Here, visitors will find a wide variety of fruits, clothes, handicrafts, knives, carpets, and spices. This is the largest market in Urumqi and a favorite spot for tourists. Female tourists can find and buy some traditional Yugur cosmetics. Checking in here is something many travelers enjoy.
Visitors have the opportunity to explore the livestock market, an important highlight of the Silk Road. Dinner and overnight in Urumqi.
Day 3: URUMQI – TIANCHI LAKE (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, the vehicle will take the group to visit Tianchi Lake, the most beautiful lake in Xinjiang, located at an altitude of over 1900m, stretching 3.5km and gracefully lying under the majestic snow-capped Tianshan Mountains all year round. At Tianchi Lake, the group will have the opportunity to enjoy 8 mythical beauties such as Shimenzi, Dragon Pool, Qingyue Light, Sky Waterfall, etc. Lunch to enjoy local specialties.
In the afternoon, the group will visit a Kazakh Yurt – the nomadic tent of the Kazakh people. Besides being surprised by its durability and ease of transport, visitors will learn about the high-quality Kazakh carpets used in the tents, hanging curtains, and other intricate decorative items; Dinner and overnight at Tianchi Lake, the group will have an outdoor barbecue in nomadic style.
Day 4: TIANCHI LAKE – TURPAN (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
The group will wake up early to feel the fresh air from the lake, take beautiful photos at Tianshan, have breakfast in the tent, and then depart for Turpan, a region famous for its grapes and flowers. The first stop in Turpan is the Bezeklik Caves in Tuyoq Valley.
Bezeklik Caves, also known as Thousand Buddha Caves, is a complex of Buddhist caves dating from the 5th to the 14th century, located in the northeastern part of the Taklamakan Desert to the west of the Flaming Mountains, with most of the surviving caves dating back to the Uyghur Kingdom from the 10th to the 13th century. There are 77 caves carved into the cliff, and some murals are masterpieces reflecting religious culture.
After lunch, the group will explore Tuyoq Valley, a primitive agricultural valley stretching 12 km in the Uyghur region, 70 km from Turpan, with grape vineyards and flower fields in the north and south valleys. This is also a pilgrimage site for Muslims. Besides mosques, there are some Buddhist caves dating back to the Western Jin period (265-316 AD), with about 10 caves still relatively well-preserved with invaluable Buddhist murals.
The group will have dinner, enjoy Xinjiang music and art, admire the sparkling Xinjiang beauties in floral skirts, singing like streams and offering goat wine... Overnight in Turpan.
Day 5: TURPAN – JIAOHE ANCIENT CITY – TAKLAMAKAN DESERT (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, the group will visit the Karez irrigation system – an ancient irrigation system still in use and the only irrigation system in Turpan. It is the pride of the Xinjiang people.
Next, the group will visit the ruins of Jiaohe Ancient City, founded in the 1st century BC, located on a steep cliff on a plateau deep in the Yamaz Valley, 10 km west of Turpan. This site has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage.
The next stop is Sugong Tower in Mura village, built in the 41st year of Emperor Qianlong's reign. This is an embodiment of the ancient architectural art of the Uyghur people. The cylindrical tower is built with bricks and symmetrically arranged.
Visit part of the Taklamakan Desert, also known as the "Sea of Death," which contains unique and invaluable archaeological and historical scientific relics. The Kumtag Desert, covering an area of 2,500 square kilometers, is the nearest desert to a city in the world as it is only 1 km from the town of Shanshan. The Kumtag Desert is connected to the southern part of the eastern ring road of ancient Shanshan. There are wild Bactrian camels here.
The group will return to Urumqi, overnight in Urumqi.
Day 6: URUMQI – KARAMAY
Early in the morning, the group will take a vehicle to Karamay, an autonomous Uyghur region in northern Xinjiang, the center of the Asian-European continent, where the world's oil is produced. On the way, admire the majestic Tianshan Mountains, endless vineyards, apple orchards, steppes with herds of sheep and goats, and the vast sky.
Overnight in Karamay.
Day 7: KARAMAY – HEMU VILLAGE (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, the group will continue by vehicle to the Hemu Valley, admiring the vast and magnificent steppe along the way, and have lunch in Burqin city.
In the afternoon, the group will arrive in Hemu, the area inhabited by the Tuwa people, 10 km from the Siberian border of Russia. Nestled in a basin of birch forests, wooden houses interspersed with winding streams create a beautiful, peaceful, and poetic scene.
After dinner, the group will check-in and rest in Hemu.
Day 8: HEMU VILLAGE – KANAS (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast at the hotel, the group will freely explore Hemu village – one of the most famous villages in China, relatively isolated and little affected by the modern world. The beauty of Hemu village in Xinjiang has earned it the title "hidden paradise."
At noon, the group will take an electric vehicle to the Kanas Lake nature reserve (also known as the "Eastern Switzerland") - Kanas Lake is one of China's five most beautiful lakes, famous for its wild, mysterious landscape filled with legends, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and pristine forests. Kanas Lake boasts a beautiful natural ecosystem formed by lakes, glaciers, forests, and grasslands. The color of Kanas Lake changes with the seasons and weather. In Mongolian, Kanas means "beautiful and mysterious," and it is considered the most attractive resort in northern Xinjiang. Kanas Lake enchants with its clear blue waters surrounded by pristine snow-covered forests. The trees along the lake's shores, knocked down by waves and wind for up to 2000m, create a very rare sight.
After dinner, the group will stay overnight in Kanas.
Day 9: KANAS – BURJIN – FIVE-COLOR BAY (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, the vehicle will take the group to visit Kanas Scenic Area: This is the most anticipated destination in the journey to conquer northern Xinjiang. The group will take an ecological vehicle in the Kanas National Forest Park, passing through the vast green steppes with various wildflowers in the "Flower Garden."
Visit Guan Yu Platform: Standing high to admire the "Color Changing" lake, feel the scenery of blue sky, white clouds, steppes, rivers, lakes, snow-capped mountains, and primitive tribes (self-paid for participating in local activities).
In the afternoon, the group will take a vehicle to Burqin, visit Five-Color Bay in Burqin county, 650 km from Xinjiang's capital. Visitors will be extremely impressed by the giant rocks with colorful and unique terrain. More special than any other rainbow rocks in the world, the Five-Color Bay in Burqin is a combination of colorful rocks amidst a green forest and the Irtysh River running through. At sunset, under the last rays of the day, the rainbow colors of the rocks are exceptionally vibrant.
After dinner, the group will freely shop in the old street area with diverse and spicy northern Xinjiang cuisine. Overnight in Burqin.
Day 10: BURJIN – URUMQI (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, the group will take a vehicle back to Urumqi, stopping to visit the Danxia tourist area on the way.
Visit the Ten Thousand Hectares of Euphrates Poplar Forest in Urho. The Euphrates Poplar, also known as the Populus Euphratica, is a hardy ancient tree. They can survive in arid conditions or extreme climates with very high or low temperatures. The tree can live for thousands of years, even after dying, it does not decay.
In spring, the leaves of the Euphrates Poplar are long like willow leaves, in summer the leaves become large and round, and in autumn the leaves resemble maple leaves. This is the largest Euphrates Poplar forest in northern Xinjiang, an ancient forest with 500-year-old trees and several dozen-year-old trees of very beautiful shapes.
In the afternoon, return to Urumqi, freely shop at the Erdaoqiao International Trade Center, and feel the Islamic culture through architecture and handmade crafts. Dinner and overnight in Urumqi.
Day 11: URUMQI – VIETNAM (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast, the group will have free time to rest, shop, or visit the colorful spice market until lunch. The group will then transfer to the airport for the flight back to Vietnam, transiting in Guangzhou or Nanning.
Upon arrival in Vietnam, the vehicle will transfer the group back to the initial pick-up point, concluding the fascinating Xinjiang exploration tour and looking forward to future trips with you.

1/ Xinjiang is a special autonomous region of China, so the itinerary and flight schedule may change depending on the specific situation of each group. The order of sightseeing spots may change depending on the actual situation of the trip, but all sightseeing spots listed in the sample program will be covered.
2/ The specific program may change depending on the flight situation, and hotels in China will be confirmed officially on the group meeting day or at least 05 days before departure.
3/ Your passport must be valid for more than 07 months from the departure date, and a 4 cm x 6 cm color photo with a white background must be submitted when registering for the tour.
4/ Chinese visa and Xinjiang travel permit require at least 20 days, so please register at least 20 working days in advance.
5/ Preparations and notes will be advised after tour registration. If guests request a separate bed for children or a single room, please notify when registering for the tour and pay the additional surcharge at the time of registration.
Children under 06 years old are not accepted for this journey.
Children from 06 – under 11 years old will be charged 85% if sharing a bed with parents.

- The remaining balance must be paid 15 days before departure.

- 4*6 photo taken straight, hair tied back, not wearing glasses or jewelry, wearing a dark-colored shirt.

- Notarized household registration or CT07.
IN CASE OF JOINING THE GROUP FROM HO CHI MINH CITY OR DA NANG:
- Register at least 20 days in advance.
- Additional charge of 3,200,000 VND/guest for separate ticket issuance (applicable for groups of more than 03 guests, without a guide from HCM City or Da Nang. The group will meet the guide at the transit city to Lhasa, with guide support at the Vietnamese airport for immigration procedures).
TOUR CHANGE POLICY (after confirmation):
- Cancel the tour 18 days in advance: 30% cancellation fee of the total tour price.
- Cancel the tour 12 days in advance: 50% cancellation fee of the total tour price (including airfare).
- Cancel the tour 07 days in advance: 100% cancellation fee of the total tour price (including airfare).
