WestJet alongside the Calgary Flames Alumni Association unveiled a renewed two-year alliance aimed at broadening community support and offering Western Canadian youths better access to sports. Central to this announcement is WestJet’s role in backing the Calgary Flames Alumni Hockey School. This initiative seeks to make hockey camps more accessible and affordable for families, encouraging active lifestyles and engagement among youths in Western Canada. The partnership also allows the alumni to share their deep hockey insights with the camp’s young participants.<\/p>\n

“Our partnership with the Calgary Flames Alumni is founded on a mutual passion for engaging with and giving back to our shared hometown,” said\u00a0Jeff Hagen, WestJet, Vice-President, Commercial Development & Strategic Partnerships.<\/strong> “Through our long-standing relationship, we are proud to support the Alumni’s initiatives to increase youth participation in sport.”<\/p>\n

“This partnership with WestJet,\u00a0Calgary’s\u00a0hometown airline, will be instrumental in connecting our Alumni group to key events and charitable opportunities, in support of our collective efforts to give back to the city and youth we had the privilege of representing and playing for,” said Jamie Macoun, President, Calgary Flames Alumni.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since 2014, WestJet has been a proud sponsor of the esteemed Annual Calgary Flames Alumni Masters Tournament. This tradition continues as WestJet commits to sponsoring this year’s event, which benefits Cerebral Palsy Kids and Families. Beyond event sponsorships, WestJet is dedicated to facilitating connections between Alumni members and the communities they serve, as well as enhancing their efforts in charitable fundraising.<\/p>\n
