STARLUX Airlines, headquartered in Taiwan, declared its plan to enhance its footprint in the U.S. by initiating direct flights between Seattle and Taipei, commencing on August 16, with booking availability starting now. This addition is the airline’s third direct service to the U.S., following routes to Los Angeles and San Francisco, and connects U.S. passengers directly to Taipei, along with smooth access to 21 destinations across Asia. Furthermore, the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport serves as a central hub for STARLUX’s ally, Alaska Airlines, providing convenient connections for Asia-bound travelers from this location. The newly introduced route connecting Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) with Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) is scheduled for three weekly flights.
“STARLUX’s broadened trans-Pacific routes reaffirm our dedication to expanding our U.S. network and to elevating the travel experience for our fast-growing customer base,” said Glenn Chai, STARLUX CEO. “As a key economic and technological hub, Seattle is also steeped in diverse cultural influences and home to a thriving Asian community. Moreover, we have finally arrived at the hub of our partner Alaska Airlines. We believe STARLUX and Alaska Airlines will provide seamless service to travelers seeking to reach Asia. STARLUX looks forward to strengthening our connections between these major West Coast cities with Taipei and larger Asia, and to building bridges between these dynamic and vibrant regions.”
The route will be serviced by STARLUX’s state-of-the-art Airbus A350 aircraft, which features four classes of service: First (4 seats), Business (26 seats), Premium Economy (36 seats), and Economy (240 seats), catering to a wide range of preferences for the over 6,000-mile journey. STARLUX is dedicated to delivering a superior in-flight experience across all cabin classes, from the earth-toned decor and award-winning crew uniforms to the specialized aromatherapy, and Michelin-star-quality cuisine onboard.
Passengers will be treated to a luxurious travel experience, with first and business class offering private spaces that include sliding doors and seats that recline fully flat into a Zero G position for optimum relaxation. Premium economy boasts extra legroom and 40-inch RECARO seating equipped with leg rests and footrest bars, while economy class offers ultimate comfort with leather headrests and ample seat pitch. All passengers will enjoy personal 4K screens for in-flight entertainment.
The new flights aim to replicate the comforts of home in the skies, offering exquisite meal options including Taiwanese specialties for all passengers. Additionally, to personalize the travel experience, passengers have the option to pre-order their meals online, ensuring they can enjoy their preferred dishes while onboard.
